Biographies

Dr Ayotunde Coker – Chief Executive Officer

Dr Ayotunde Coker
Dr Ayotunde Coker is one of the leading players in the development of the data centre industry in Africa and is Chairperson of influential industry group, the Africa Data Centres Association.

Before joining OADC as Chief Executive Officer, Dr Coker led Rack Centre to becoming a household name in Nigeria and a leading brand in Africa, with global recognition and numerous prestigious international awards.

Throughout a distinguished international career as a technology and business leader, Dr Coker has held senior positions in finance, energy, management consulting and UK Government.

He holds a MSc from Cranfield Institute of Technology and a PhD (Honoris Causa) from ESCAE University. His achievements have been recognised by numerous awards including Distinguished Manufacturing Alumni Award (Cranfield Institute of Technology) 2020, and in the same year he was recognised as one of the Global Top 30 Edge Computing Leaders by Data Economy Magazine.

Kevin McLoughlin – Chief Commercial Officer

An accomplished senior Telecoms & IT professional, Kevin has over 25 years’ operational, management and advisory experience gained in worldwide roles within established and start-up telcos, as well as in management consultancies serving the telecoms sector.

As CTO for LPTIC (Libyan Post Telecommunications and Information Technology Company), Kevin was responsible for the company’s investments in sub-Saharan Africa. His expertise also includes establishing a successful 15-country IT network with data centres in major European capital cities, and more than 10 years’ network transformation and data centre deployment experience in Africa – including Kenya, Libya, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Having worked client-side and within specialist telecoms sector consultancies, Kevin is able to share his considerable expertise in balancing commercial needs and technical requirements. He was previously Chief Enterprise Architect for EHI, a global, US$20 billion revenue organisation in the transportation sector with 10,000 branch locations and 15 data centres.

Kevin holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from UCL in London.

Joshua Smythwood – Chief Operating Officer

Joshua is a seasoned senior leader with extensive experience of working with multinational telecom operators and telecom service providers, having successfully managed and developed businesses in the telecommunications sector in North American, European, Middle Eastern and Africa.

With over 18 years’ of global experience, he is an accomplished executive with experience in executive management, transformation management and business start-up activities.

Sayuri Moodliar – Head of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)

sayuriSayuri is a highly skilled expert in sustainability within the telecommunications and digital infrastructure industry, boasting more than twenty-five years of hands-on experience as both a sustainability professional and an infrastructure project finance lawyer.

Her expertise lies in collaborating with multinational corporations, spanning Sub-Saharan Africa and the world.

Brett Berry – Sales Manager, South Africa

Sales and business development activity across South Africa is headed up by data centre solutions professional, Brett Berry.  He joins OADC from Teraco Data Environment and brings 10 years’ senior cloud and data centre sales experience to the organisation.

Based in Johannesburg, Brett partners with clients ensuring they maximise the major opportunities enabled by OADC’s unique South African core-to-edge deployment that is transforming Africa’s digital infrastructure.

Brett holds a B.Soc.Sci degree from the University of Natal.

 

Gabriel Ohiare – Sales Manager, Nigeria

Gabriel

Based in Lagos, Gabriel leads OADC’s sales and business development throughout Nigeria.

A data centre professional with over 15 years’ service at Globacom and Airtel Networks, Gabriel’s local knowledge and data centre expertise delivers a transformative service experience to the county’s vibrant cloud and content, wholesale, Government and enterprise markets.

Gabriel holds a master’s degree from Rome Business School.
