OADC Durban (DUR 1)

OADC Durban is a purpose-built, high-specification data centre, situated on a prime site 20km from Durban city centre. We have chosen to build our facility in Durban to support telcos, ISPs, the cloud operator and wholesale community and major enterprises in extending their business into KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa.

As well as providing carrier-neutral, open access to the tailored colocation capabilities demanded by the largest and most innovative organisations operating in South Africa, the facility also houses the cable landing for the Amanzimtoti branch of the 2Africa submarine cable.

This landing, into the 4MW-capable OADC Durban facility in Amanzimtoti, is the only 2Africa landing into KZN and the fourth on the coast of South Africa – two in the Western Cape (Yzerfontein and Duynefontein) and one in the Eastern Cape (Gqeberha).
