Job Objective
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Centre Colocation Lead with network and facilities services experience/knowledge and the ability to inspire others. As a Data Centre Colocation Lead, your primary responsibility will be to lead the daily colocation operations of the Data Centre. You will assist the site operations team with operational goals and projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality services to our customers, meeting service level agreements, and resolving document issues. You will lead the colocation service level metrics for delivery, problem escalation/resolution processes, and performance monitoring. You must be able to possess good mission-critical site awareness, in addition to having robust knowledge relevant to building services. The position will ideally suit someone who is currently working on mission-critical systems and is prepared to work hands-on. Skills will include the network and facilities site operations of the data centre and mission-critical projects. Other sectors is desirable. Experience will also include the leading of colocation project services, with a solid IT infrastructure background.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead site colocation operations and network aspects of the data centre using world-class principles and industry best practices
- Support procedures for maintaining high standards of operations, product and service quality, reliability, and safety
- Assist in the implementation of processes and procedures
- Lead productivity and quality in accordance with the company’s requirements and direction
- Lead all aspects of site infrastructure, including the installation and maintenance of equipment
- Assist in the implementation of necessary backup and recovery technologies through SOPs/EOPs
- Leading colocation risk mitigation processes
- Lead all site incidents to ensure prompt, efficient response and resolution
- Lead capacity planning in Data Halls and IT infrastructure
- Lead the colocation environment end-to-end to monitor the reliability and stability of the products and solutions deployed for each service with proactive tuning and improvements
- Maintain up-to-date capacity-related data as well as projections for available space, bandwidth, storage and networking to ensure proper mitigation is implemented proactively with proper planning, budgeting, and execution timelines
- Evaluate and promote site-wide quality improvements and initiatives
- Directly responsible for site planned and reactive colocation activities
- Directly responsible for the supervision of 3rd party suppliers working on mission-critical equipment

Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma in Information Technology
- Technical certification CDCP
- CCNA/A+/N+; MCSE or other relevant certification advantageous
- ITIL Certification
Experience & Skills
- Mission-critical plant knowledge
- Data centre facilities experience
- 5+ years’ data centre industry experience
- 5+ years’ experience in technology
- 3 years’ experience in data centre network and IT services
- 2 years’ experience in building facilities
- 3 years’ experience with mission-critical electrical/mechanical plants
- 2 years’ working experience in Occupational Health and Safety
- 5 years’ working experience in mission-critical systems
Knowledge
- Expert knowledge of Data Centre colocation operations and capacity planning with the ability to lead large data centre colocation operations on site under the Data Centre Site Operations Manager
- Expert knowledge of monitoring technology environments and solving availability, performance, and service-level incidents
- Expert knowledge of both fibre and copper connectivity
- Knowledge of Electrical systems
- Knowledge of Mechanical systems, including HVAC
- Knowledge of Power Generation Systems
- Knowledge of Building Fire Systems
- Knowledge of BMS and Monitoring Systems
- Knowledge of Regulatory and Statutory requirements
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements respective to your site and country
- Knowledge of Environmental Requirements respective to your site and country
- Knowledge of MS Projects and other related Office 365 Package
